HDR Downtown LA Timelapses
Third attempt trying timelapses with HDR Photography (High Dynamic Range) Using Auto Exposure Bracketing (3 pictures, 2 stops apart) on the Canon EOS 7D. Shot in and around City Hall in Downtown Los Angeles. EF-S18-135mm Zoom Lens 3.5 Music: “Gattaca” Soundtrack by Michael Nyman. The flickering on some of these shots is really aggravating. I’ve tried Final Cut’s Flicker Filter, Sapphire FlickerRemove and GB Deflicker with Adobe AfterEffects, but it doesn’t seem to make much difference. Is this the price you pay for HDR?
I had my ISO and exposures set to manual, though my White Balance was on AUTO. Could this account for the hardcore flickers? The worst shots seem to be the buildings with glass facades/reflections etc (0:56). Still learning anyways
Anybody else have any other flicker removal solutions for a Mac User? Cast: Sunchaser Pictures
