Picasa 3 – een bijzonder fraai programma van Google voor het beheren en bewerken van foto’s op een volstrekt unieke manier, eenvoudig te leren. In de afgelopen maanden mocht ik er een boek over schrijven – voor uitgever Easy Computing. Met veel plezier, zoals altijd, en met de boodschap om er een bijzonder werkbaar boek van te maken, met veel instructies, illustraties en inspirerende oefeningen.
En zoals dat bij alle te schrijven en te vertalen boeken gaat: een uitstekende samenwerking tussen de vele mensen die een rol spelen bij zo’n project. Natuurlijk mocht ik al veel boeken schrijven en vertalen, toch was deze uitgave bijzonder te noemen: men had in Brussel voor de reeks Snelgidsen een geheel nieuwe nieuwe vormgeving bedacht en de Snelgids Picasa werd het eerste boek in deze nieuwe opzet.
Het boek is zodanig geschreven dat iedereen – zowel de senior als de junior – binnen zeer korte tijd op heel praktische wijze aan de slag kan met het programma Picasa van Google. Deze nieuwe uitgave is ook heel goed te gebruiken als cursusboek. Weinig overbodige theorie en vooral veel stap-voor-stap oefeningen.
En voor wie al enig ervaring heeft met Picasa: deze Snelgids leert u ook om van foto’s een cadeau-cd, posters, webalbums, collages, videofilms, en nog veel meer te maken. De foto’s liever laten afdrukken via het internet? Ook dat kan via Picasa en in het boek wordt precies uitgelegd hoe dat te doen.

“io canto il corpo elettrico”is the direct relationship that exists between the actions and alteration of the environment that surrounds them. The installation was realized through the creation of a body electric that produces sounds by interpreting gestures and hand movements, without physical barrier dividing the human being and the sound. In this way the physical and emotional stimulus generated by amplified music and the human body becomes a tool that frees and editing sounds and then the environment. Who interacts with the work can modify individual sounds, creating an environment sound that can be melodic or dissonant, reflecting the perceptions and emotional feelings of the spectator. As in reality, this environment is left in “legacy” to the visitor after that will improve or worsen with other actions. We chose to use the Gesture Recognition as a technique to control to amplify the emotional impact and give a sense of suspension and lightweight interaction. Ducks – Installazione Interattiva
Doc Design è uno studio di Modena che si occupa di packaging. Durante l’inaugurazione del nuovo spazio di lavoro, ci è stato chiesto di realizzare una installazione interattiva che rappresentasse lo spirito dell’azienda comunicandolo in maniera innovativa e abbiamo creato “Ducks”. Durante l’evento, le persone potevano prendere in mano le scatole e giocare con i loghi di Doc Design che venivano proiettati sulle vetrate degli uffici. Appoggiando le scatole alla vetrata si ha la possibilità di far rimbalzare le papere e quindi di interagire con il logo. —————————————————————– Doc Design is a study of Modena who designs packaging. During the inauguration of the new workplace, they asked us to create a interactive installation that represents the spirit of the company by communicating in an innovative way and we have created “Ducks”. During the event, people could pick up the boxes and play with the logos of Doc Design that were projected on the windows of the offices. Supporting the boxes to the window you get a chance to bounce the ducks and then interact with the logo. Cast: fuse*
